Once the summer home of the Chicago police chief during the days of Al Capone, this beautiful property has been transformed to a summer resort for those seeking relief from the crowds and pressure of city life. The Enchanted Inn has been family owned since 1951 and is set upon 54 acres of scenic lakeshore property. The outstanding restaurant and cocktail bar, wooded seasonal, and overnight campsites bordering a crystal-clear, sandy bottom lake make the Enchanted Inn a premier getaway destination. There is also a newly remodeled, cozy waterfront cottage available to rent for the entire summer.

The Italian and American Restaurant

Initially, Kas and Clara Draganowski began by making and selling homemade pizzas from this spectacular property. More than fifty years later, the family tradition continues. The restaurant's menu focuses on Italian specialties, but also offering a wide selection of American favorites. Our house specialty, homemade thin crust pizza, is known throughout the Midwest.

Our customers travel for miles to enjoy this traditional delicacy baked on oblong, not round cookie sheets. We then cut the pizzas into squares and stack them, yes, stack them on an oval platter. You receive one of the most unbelievable pizzas you'll ever taste! The aromas blend together and the crust is still thin and crisp. We challenge you to find a better pizza! You can dine in, take out, and we can even pre-bake our pizza for you to take and bake at a later time. New this year, we have eight inch frozen pizzas available to keep in your freezer for last minute treats.

Cottage

Our modern cottage has just been emodeled and is available for seasonal rentals. Perched on the bank of the spring-fed Eau Claire river, overlooking Lower Eau Claire Lake, the deck offers a great place to watch the sunrise or to catch a glimpse of the moonlight refection on the lake.

The cottage amenities include two bedrooms, kitchen, full bath with tub and shower, and central heat. All cooking utensils, sheets, and blankets are furnished for your convenience. You will need to provide only dish and bath towels along with any other personal items you require. The cottage sleeps up to four people. No smoking and no pets please.

Our Campground

Our campground offers large, wooded campsites with hookups for water, electric and sewer, as well as a dump station for any size camper. Most of our sites are seasonal but we do offer a limited number of sites that rent per night. A modern, heated shower and toilet facility is available for your comfort and convenience, as well as boat slip rentals for seasonal guests.

Open Dates

The Enchanted Inn seasonal campsites open the first weekend of the fishing opener, usually the first weekend in May. The restaurant opens Memorial Weekend and operates through the summer months, Friday-Sunday.  Call for exact hours, which may vary on the Holiday weekends.  715-795-2566.
